Mogens Dahl Kammerkor is a professional Danish chamber choir based in Copenhagen. The ensemble works with chamber music, classical concerts and classical choral music at an international level, performing both a cappella works and larger-scale classical music concerts with orchestra.
The choir is made up of professional singers and operates as a flexible concert ensemble, appearing in Denmark and internationally at festivals, concert venues and major classical concerts, performing both early and contemporary repertoire.
The ensemble’s artistic foundation lies in the Nordic a cappella tradition, with a focus on tonal blend, textual clarity and linguistic precision. The repertoire ranges from classical choral music to new vocal works written specifically for professional chamber choirs.
The choir appears in both purely vocal programmes and larger classical concerts with orchestra, where choral music forms part of the standard classical concert repertoire. This combination of chamber-music working methods and concert format places the ensemble between an intimate and an orchestral sound world.

Mogens Dahl Kammerkor works purposefully to shape the future development of Nordic vocal music through classical concerts, chamber music, and specialised classical choral music. The ensemble is recognised for its performances of new Nordic vocal music and collaborates with leading composers who write works specifically for professional chamber choirs.
The choir’s artistic profile is rooted in the Nordic a cappella tradition, with a focus on tonal blend, linguistic precision and text-led interpretation. This approach has established the ensemble as a sought-after chamber choir on international classical concert stages and at festivals.
On tours and at classical concerts in Berlin, Halle, Stockholm, Bergen and Reykjavik, the choir has distinguished itself as a specialist in contemporary vocal music. Notable performances include the world première of Nordic Mass by Sven-David Sandström at Festspillene i Bergen and the world première of The Passion of St. John at Konzerthaus Berlin.
Mogens Dahl Kammerkor is therefore an active presence on the Nordic and European scene for chamber music, classical concerts, and contemporary vocal music.
Under the direction of Mogens Dahl, Mogens Dahl Kammerkor has been developed as a flexible professional chamber choir working at the intersection of chamber music, classical concerts, and contemporary vocal music. Since its founding in 2005, the ensemble has created concert, festival and recording projects within classical choral music and new vocal repertoire.
A pool of around 40 professional singers forms the core of the choir’s sound, enabling the ensemble to adapt its line-up for both a cappella programmes and larger-scale classical music concerts with orchestra. This structure positions the ensemble prominently on the Nordic and European scene for chamber choirs and vocal chamber music.
International collaborations with Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Brooklyn Rider and Athelas Sinfonietta highlight the ensemble’s role within both chamber music and classical concerts across national borders.
